Sometimes... you have to take a step back and remember why you like taking photographs. As a student or even as a professional photographer, one can feel a little "burnt" out. To kick off this week, I wanted to share an animation that I found very inspirational, appropriately titled Photographs.
"Photographs” is a touching 6-minute-long animated short film about
an elderly woman who comes across an old (but working) Polaroid camera.
She begins snapping instant photo selfies and uses those images to
relive her younger days. The film was created back in 2010 as an undergraduate animation
thesis project by animators Brendan Clogher and Christina Manrique while
they were studying at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles (PetaPixel).

Write commentsThanks for sharing this. It was very motivational for me this Monday morning. Photography is my passion, however, from time to time we get so wrapped up that we forget the real reason why we love photography...to capture the memories.
