Happy Friday to everyone! To help "kick off" the weekend, I wanted to highlight some of the images shot by one of my latest "PH222: Portraiture I" students, Sabrina Haines! In this class, students learn how to photograph the human subject using a variety of techniques! During the first week of the class, you will learn four different lighting schemes using only one light: Rembrandt, Split, Loop, and Paramount. You'll take head-shots, three-quarter length shots, and full body shots.

You'll
work with both male and female models, as well as with children.
Regarding lighting, you will use one studio light for some assignments
to illuminate your subjects and other times, you will use two or three
lights. Your images will be taken mostly in the studio but also on
location.

By the end of the class, you will have a body of work that
shows that you have photographed many different people and thus, a
portfolio that shows more experience in the field
of portraiture!
