Website Wednesday: Adobe Portfolio

Out with the old and in with the new! Bēhance sent out an e-mail yesterday (2.8.16) to notify customers that the company will be discontinuing the "Bēhance ProSite" option and replacing it with "Adobe Portfolio".  The e-mail read, "Bēhance ProSite is being discontinued as of June 2016.  As an alternative to ProSite, we’d love you to check out Adobe Portfolio.  Portfolio allows you to quickly and easily build a fully responsive website to showcase your creative work. Portfolio also syncs seamlessly with Bēhance, so you can continue to get the most out of your projects".

Although potentially bad news for those who have relied on Bēhance ProSite to build their websites... the good news is that Adobe Portfolio is a bit more user friendly.  The following is included with the new platform: Typekit's Library of Fonts, Live Editing, Direct Access, Preview your Site, Create Projects on Portfolio or Bēhance and sync between the two, Disable "right-click" to protect your images, the option to enable a "lightbox" to present your images, and naturally... you can use your own domain name.

"Adobe Portfolio." Adobe Portfolio. N.p., n.d. Web. 09 Feb. 2016.
