Pho·tog Friday: Winner of the "Labor Day 24 Hour Photo Challenge"

Welcome to Pho·tog Friday!

In the last "Make it Monday" post and within the PSPN and Photo Faculty communities, I announced the "Labor Day 24 Hour Photo Challenge".  In short, students and faculty were invited to share a photograph that he or she had taken this past Labor Day.  The winner of the "Labor Day 24 Hour Photo Challenge" is Professor Jill Mott! Check out her photograph below titled Tea, Music & Review:

Mott, Jill, Tea, Music and Review, 2013.
What I really enjoy about this photograph is that the bright fuchsia and brown form a triangular composition which frame the lettering. It's clear to the viewer not only by the items displayed within the image that the photographer was working on something - given the title, we know that the photographer was working on a "review" of some sort.  The words are in focus, particularly "Student Success", which also helps to support the content of the piece.  To see more of Professor Mott's work, please check out her website; click here.

In my opinion, the hardest part of this photo challenge was to act quickly: take a great photo, make a necessary edit, upload the file and submit it.   In the world of photography - and in today's world in general, acting fast is a constant challenge that one faces in order to meet a clients needs.

Be sure to keep your eyes peeled for future "24 Hour Photography Challenges"!
