Website Wednesday: 500px

Interested in selling your prints online alongside your freelance business?  If so, check out 500px!  This is a stock website that allows you to not only sell physical prints but you can also sell your downloadable files.  500px is a great way to earn a little extra cash on the side as photographers retain seventy percent of the commission.

500px offers three different packages for photographers to choose from.  Option number one is rightfully called "Free", Option number two is called "Plus" and option number three is called "Awesome".  All three of these options allows you to sell your prints through "500px Art" and to license your images throughout "500px Prime".  The "Awesome" package is the most expensive, at seventy-five dollars per year, although this package allows you to customize your portfolio and to choose your own domain name.

The photograph above was taken by Csilla Zelko, a photographer based out of Budapest.  You can see that there are a variety of options available for customers to purchase her image: Premium Canvas, Framed Print, Acrylic, Personal Wallpaper (low-resolution downloadable file) and as a Royalty Free License (high-resolution downloadable file).  Be sure to explore the 500px website in depth to see how it can help your freelance business!
