Make it Monday: Free Online Photo Courses

When it comes to photography (and many other subjects), there are two things to keep in mind.  Number one, there is always more to learn.  Regardless of how long you have been a photographer or how long you have been studying photography, there is always new information to learn about and apply it to your workflow.  Number two, it is always a good idea to review what you have already learned.  Similar to learning a foreign language, if you don't use it, you loose it; this slogan also applies to photography.  There are plenty of online sources out there that offer free information when it comes to photography.  Gautam Tambay, one of the many bloggers from PetaPixel, has put together a fantastic article listing these free sources.

Tambay's list include topics such as "Photography for Beginners", "Post-Production and Specific Techniques", "Photography in Society and as Art", and "Reference Resources and Advanced Materials".  Tambay breaks down each of the sources into different levels such as, beginner, intermediate and advanced.  One of the most helpful sources Tambay lists in my opinion is called "Phlearn", a site that hosts numerous video tutorials.  To read more about Tambay's list of resources, click "here".
