Pho·tog Friday: Jen Jensen - Student Work

Happy Friday to everyone! To help "kick off" the weekend, I wanted to highlight some of the images shot by one of my latest "PH430: Photography Portfolio" students, Jen Jensen! Jen is a US Air Force Veteran and came into the Bachelors Program at AIPOD after serving in the military as a photographer and public affairs specialist.  She's currently running a successful freelance photography business called "Forever Faye Photography".  In this class, the primary goal for the Bachelor's students is to learn how to create a portfolio focusing on one sub-genre. Jen chose to focus more so on a topic that is important to her: the effects PTSD can have on soldiers; effects others may not know about or see.  Check out a few of her images below:

It's important to keep in mind that a portfolio class requires a lot of hard work - perhaps more so than the courses taken previously by studentsAlong with creating a strong portfolio, students also create a physical portfolio - a binder with 11x14 prints, build their resume, artist statement, and learn how to enhance their branding to increase marketability of their photography skills.
