Happy Friday to everyone! To help "kick off" the weekend, I wanted to highlight some of the images shot by one of my latest "PH430: Photography Portfolio" students, Sarah Popper! Sarah is currently running a successful freelance business in her hometown of Hagerstown, Maryland with his husband, Caleb, called "Cracked Light Studio". In this class, the main goal for the Bachelors students is to learn how to create a portfolio focusing on one sub-genre. Sarah chose to focus on business portraiture for her portfolio. Check out a few of her images below:

It's important to keep in mind that a portfolio class requires a lot of hard work - perhaps more so than the courses taken previously by students. Along with creating a strong portfolio, students also create a physical portfolio - a binder with 11x14 prints, build their resume, artist statement, and learn how to enhance their branding to increase marketability of their photography skills.
