The next step after graduation: finding a photography job! It's important to remember that our photography programs at The Art Institute of Pittsburgh - Online Division are geared towards commercial photography vs. fine art. The "line" between these two styles of shooting can be a bit blurry, although essentially: you want to make sure that the portfolio you leave the program with is marketable and can help you obtain a job as a photographer!
For the next few weeks, we're going to be looking at different websites where freelance photography jobs are posted. A big thing to keep in mind when you're looking at different online resources is that you want your website to be credible. There are a number of websites out there that appear to be listing real jobs, although turn out to be advertisements for search engines. Similar to any "job hunt", you'll need to ensure that your portfolio, resume, website, business cards, other promotional items, and last but not least - your LinkedIn Profile - are all "up to speed". The first online resource we're going to explore is "LinkedIn". Click on the link below and see what freelance jobs are available in the United States:
