Pho·tog Friday: Erik Patten - Live Lecture

As you may have read in your e-mail and in your classrooms, we have a guest speaker next Thursday evening: Erik Patten.  After earning his MFA in photography from the University of Georgia, Patten re-located to the Washington D.C. area in 2009.  Patten works primarily with still lives and objects to examine the ephemera of consumer culture.  His body of images titled Plastic includes images of objects of small value: cheap toys and the plastic encasing they are packaged within.
