Veterans Day
November 11, 2015

I originally had gone to the Veterans Cemetery to take pictures of the boy scouts placing flags on all the grave sites. As I was walking through the looking at the names on the headstones, I noticed a man sitting on a lawn chair. This old veteran was sitting next to his wife's grave. He had brought her flowers and was having a conversation with her. I found myself welling up with tears as strangers walked through the rows of graves to shake his hand and give their thanks and to chat a min with him. Eventually everyone left and there he sat at her graveside chatting with her on his visit.
