As a professional photographer, I not only take photographs with my DSLR but I also take photos with my iPhone. There are a slew of smart phones available and depending on your taste, you might like the iPhone or perhaps you prefer a Droid. Let's face it, smart phones can take great pictures and then it is relatively easy to edit the pictures, with the right app. Images can be quickly uploaded to social media websites and - boom - the photo is published online. In some cases, what a photographer really needs is immediacy and smart phones provide that. Apple recently announced two
new phones: the iPhone 5s and the iPhone 5c. So... let's take a peak at the new iPhone 5s that comes with an iSight Camera. If you have yet to hear
about the advancements made in the new iPhone 5s, here's a list of a few
of the improvements:
Larger Sensor · Larger Pixels · Larger Aperture
The larger the sensor and the
larger the pixels, the more light is collected. And that translates to
better, brighter images with truer color and less noise.
True Tone Flash
True Tone Flash helps produce more accurate image colors.
Faster Focus · Faster Capture · Burst Mode
For some shots, speed makes
all the difference. The faster, more powerful A7 chip in iPhone 5 s
includes a new image signal processor (ISP). Because it's designed by
Apple, the ISP is integrated with the iSight hardware and camera
software, delivering faster photo capture and up to 2x faster
auto-focus. Burst Mode captures 10 photos per second.
Auto Image Stabilization
Motion blur and hand shakiness happen and often, you wind up deleting what could have been a great photo. Auto image stabilization helps avoid that.
Phenomenal Panorama
With one sweeping motion, the panorama feature lets you capture a single epic shot. Shoot something with varying light, like the sun setting over a cliff, and iPhone 5s automatically adjusts the exposure for highlights and shadows while you pan.
HD Video Recording · Slow Motion Video · Live Video Zoom
Capture moments in stunning 1080p HD! Take still photos as you record. Add a bit of awesomeness with slow-motion effect.
