Website Wednesday: AllYou.Net

Welcome to Website Wednesday!

One of the first things a photographer needs is a website.  The second thing that a photographer needs is a website that is easy to adjust and add to.  The best part about these two things is that you don't need to be a "web master" in order to have your own online portfolio.  There are many different companies out there that specialize in hosting websites with "user friendly" templates.  One of my favorites is called "AllYou.Net":

The best news about this hosting website is that you can create your website for free. Although... of course... there is also an option to pay a fee for your site and if you choose to pay, you'll most likely get a little more "glitz and glam"; meaning, the website will offer you more space and it might also load a little faster for your clients.  That being said, be sure to take a peak at the section titled "Pricing" for more details.

When making your online portfolio, there are multiple design templates to choose from.  You might choose to have multiple galleries displayed on your "Home" page or perhaps you would prefer a few top images to scroll across the page with a list of options off to the side.  The "Interview" template seen below is one of my personal favorites.

In short, every good photographer has to have a good website; the two simply go hand in hand.  If you have been meaning to build your own website - even as a student - www.allyou.net is a great way to get started!
