Lighting Equipment + Lighting Schemes (Wide Angle Image of Schemes)

Hi Class,

Given that you're photographing new work for this class, from time to time, I might ask that you adjust your lighting scheme or use different accessories.  In order for me to give you stronger advice, I ask that you present a wide-angle shot of your scheme; attach this to your contact sheet that contains all of your photos.  Your photographs should clearly show where the lights and accessories were placed in relation to your subject.  Naturally, not all of you may be using the same type of tools for lighting so results will vary.  Below is an example of how a wide-angle lighting scheme should look:

For example, if you've been asked to start photographing on location with a reflector or scrim, I'd like to see evidence of that in the next "shooting" assignment.  If you been asked to adjust your key or fill lights, present evidence of that in future assignments.

In regards to finding "help" for learning about lighting schemes - you can always refer back to the material you learned within PHOA113, PH331 or similar courses.  However, a great online resource is "Strobox.com"; click on the link below for more information:

Please feel free to e-mail me with any questions or concerns you may have.
