Website Wednesday: Nathan Eldridge

We have a special guest speaker this evening, portrait photographer Nathan Eldridge!  I would encourage you to check out his website and become familiar with his work prior to the lecture this evening at 7:00pm EST. Based out of Portland, Maine, Nathan Eldridge is a freelance portrait photographer who has an uncanny ability to explore his subjects visually.  Eldridge’s clientele revolve around advertising agencies, major publishing companies, magazines and corporations. Regardless of if he is photographing a celebrity, such as Richard Russo, or an organic farmer. Eldridge uses the same creative and critical eye to make a successful photograph.

Eldridge’s images have appeared in several gallery shoes such as the “Figures / Context Group Show” at the Photo Place Gallery, which was curated by Cig Harvey.  In 2012, Eldridge published a book titled Portraits of the Public, featuring portraits taken of those he met on the street between the years of 2003 – 2011.  The “Good Idea Grant”, which was awarded to Eldridge in 2011 by the Maine Arts Commission, funded this book. Eldridge’s work has been featured in several publications such as Ladies home Journal, Down East Magazine, and Yankee Magazine.  His photographs have also been published in multiple educational materials through Pearson Education.  If you haven't already registered for tonight's lecture, please be sure to do so by clicking on the link below:
