Make it Monday: Compositional Strategies

In all of your classes at AIP-OD, you're bound to learn about the importance of composition and line.  One's use of line can lead a viewer's eye on or off the page.  There are a few popular "line techniques" that are used by photographers, such as Leading Lines, Symmetry, Rule of Thirds, and Diagonals.  There are also a few techniques used to strengthen one's composition that has to do with shape: Figure to Ground, Fill the Frame, Center Dominant Eye, Patterns, and Repetition.  These techniques are covered in the video below with Steve McCurry's Photographs:
