Write commentsI can certainly appreciate the popularity of newborn photography. As soon as I started advertising that I was in school to become a photographer, that is one of the first things people would ask me to do. Babies really don't stay small for long, so I understand people's intense need to capture such an exciting moment as a new addition (especially if it is their first child). One thing I hope all newborn photographers and up and coming amateurs are aware of is the necessity of composite shots, most average viewers don't realize that is how the "frog pose" and many of the "hanging fabric" or even the "natural swing" poses are all created so as not to put so small a child in any danger. I found a great resource that gives tips on how to create a safe environment for newborn shoots here: "Newborn Photography." Learn Shoot Inspire. Alexis Media Co., n.d. Web. 30 May. 2014. .
ReplyHi Rebecca!
ReplyThanks for your post! I'm glad to hear that your freelance business increased once you told your followers that you were expanding your education in photography! As a professor, I'm a bit biased although, I strongly believe that earning a higher education (in any field) will ultimately help those who want to pursue their dreams. Keep up the hard work!
